The number of teachers in primary schools in Denmark decreased over the past 10 years. In the school year of 2014/15, there were more than 43,000 teachers in the public school, folkeskolen. In the academic year 2023/25, the number of teachers had dropped to 41,000. Over the same period, the number of pupils in primary schools in Denmark decreased.
