Biodiesel production in Peru 2011-2021
In 2021, Peru's biodiesel production was forecast to reach 195 million liters, an increase of some 4.8 percent in comparison to the previous year. Since 2017, the country's annual biodiesel production had been continuously increasing, following a halt in production reported between 2014 and 2016 - the result of competition with imports, as well as the decommissioning of a plant in 2015. Peru has maintained a mandated biodiesel blend rate of five percent in recent years.
