According to a survey conducted in 2019, more than 17 percent of architecture companies in Japan were using building information modeling (BMI) for their projects. BIM is a process that allows multi-disciplinary collaboration by using shared 3D models. While most companies were interested in its implementation, about one quarter of responding companies expressed no interest in using this process.
