Higher education students from Norway studying abroad 2023, by destination

The United Kingdom was the most popular country to study abroad for Norwegians in 2023. During this year, 2,500 students in higher education chose to study in the United Kingdom. The neighboring country, Denmark, was the second most popular destination that year, attracting nearly 1,900 students. Poland was the third most visited country by Norwegian students, amounting to 1,500 students. Over the past decade, the share of Norwegian students studying abroad declined.
