Financial impact of food services due to coronavirus measures in the Netherlands 2020
As of 2020, due to the long-term measurements taken to prevent the coronavirus from spreading too fast, it is estimated that food services will deal with approximately a revenue loss of 7.1 billion euros. With just over 4.4 billion euros, hotels, restaurants and cafes will be hit hard, whereas convenience and catering business estimated financial losses of roughly 1.7 billion euros and 970 million euros, respectively.
