In 2019, the revenue generated by travel and tourism in the Dominican Republic amounted to roughly 10.9 billion U.S. dollars. Meanwhile, Cuba and Puerto Rico registered revenues of 6.14 and 5.51 billion dollars that same year. These countries were also among the top five in total contribution of travel and tourism to the gross domestic product in the Caribbean in 2019.
