With the spread of the coronavirus pandemic worldwide, governments of the G20 countries, as well as Poland, have taken many actions to support the economy due to the introduction of radical lockdown measures. Based on data from the beginning of April 2020, it can be concluded that the current scale of the fiscal response of the G20 and Polish governments to the COVID-19 pandemic crisis will be significantly higher than during the financial crisis of a decade ago. According to the source, the value of the announced packages already exceeds 4800 billion U.S dollars, and 13 out of twenty countries from the G20 and Poland have planned larger packages in relation to GDP than during the crisis in 2007-2009.
