According to a survey on consumer sentiment in Vietnam in 2020, respondents from Can Tho had indicated that they spent 45 percent of their monthly household expenditure on food items, followed by 15 percent on housing and utilities. Compared to all regions, respondents from Can Tho spent a higher share of their expenditure on food.
