In the week ending March 14, 2020, sales of hand sanitizers grew by 735 percent compared to the same week in 2019 in Canada. Other personal care and hygiene products which experienced a surge in sales due to the coronavirus outbreak included masks and gloves, bathroom tissue and personal wipes.
