Revenue of Normal A/S 2015-2018/19

In the financial year of 2018/19, the Danish drugstore chain Normal A/S generated a revenue of approximately 1.9 billion Danish kroner. The company offers a product range which comprises personal care products, household goods, cosmetics, pet food, office supplies, health food and beverages. In the revenue ranking among the companies operating in the cosmetics, perfume and hairdressing industry in Denmark, Normal A/S ranked second, while Matas ranked first. As of April 2020, the largest Danish health and beauty retailer Matas made a revenue of almost 3.4 billion Danish kroner.

Overall, the chain of drug stores’ revenue increased in the financial period from 2012/13 to 2018/19. In this year, Matas generated a revenue of roughly 3.5 billion Danish kroner. The Danish cosmetics and personal care retailer operates stores in Denmark and Sweden as well as an online shop.  

 Cosmetic and personal care product market 

In general, the market share of cosmetic and personal care products for women was higher in the past years than of the share of products for men in Denmark. In 2018, the market share of women’s skin care products was nearly 40 percent, while it amounted to three percent for men’s skin care products.
