According to a survey on the status of truck drivers in India, almost half of the truck drivers rated the availability of medical facilities as bad in February 2020. The availability of hospital facilities was rated as good by over 20 percent of truck drivers in the eastern city of Kolkata. A relatively high proportion of drivers from western cities of Mumbai and Ahmedabad rated the availability as bad.
