Share of tennis players globally 2017, by country
In October 2019, the International Tennis Federation (ITF) published its first global report on tennis, based on data collected in 195 nations. The publication, analyzing figures from 2017, stated that there were about 87 million tennis players globally. As of the survey period, China registered the highest figure, as roughly 22.5 percent of all tennis players came from this country. The United States and India followed in the list, recording 20.7 percent and 9.2 percent respectively of all tennis players in the world.
