According to a survey on the status of truck drivers in India, two-third of truck drivers stated that they were speeding on roads to complete the assignment on time as of February 2020. Multiple assignments are under taken simultaneously by the fleet owners to generate more revenue which leads to overburdening of driver's work. Over speeding was stated as the major cause for road crashes by the truck drivers across the south Asian country.
