According to a survey on the status of truck drivers in India, majority of truck drivers felt unsafe on roads as of February 2020. Furthermore, a higher proportion of over 80 percent of drivers in Delhi, Ahmedabad and Mumbai felt unsafe on roads. Over speeding was stated as a leading cause for crashes and accidents involving trucks by respondents in the country.
