According to a survey on the status of truck drivers in India, the truck driving profession based on career option was stated to be most unattractive in the national capital region of Delhi by over 88 percent of respondents in 2020. Lack of job security, limited skill set along with little or no education and absence of upward mobility made the truck driving profession unattractive for drivers across the south Asian country.
