According to a survey conducted on the status of truck drivers across India in February 2020, over 60 percent of truck drivers stated that they stopped on highways to take rest and sleep to ease their fatigue. A brief stop for some refreshments was made by 90 percent of truck drivers in the state of Chennai to help them with their fatigue and sleepiness during the trips.
