In 2022, the mechanical engineering industry segment utilized around 28.6 percent of the stainless steel produced worldwide. In the same year, the electrical machinery industry accounted for nearly eight percent of the global stainless steel use, whereas other transport made up over five percent of the total stainless steel demand.
