In 2023, it is estimated that Instagram will have over one billion monthly active users worldwide, up from almost 787 billion monthly users in 2019 and just over one billion in 2020. The photo sharing app is owned by Facebook and is one of the company's major subsidiaries along with WhatsApp and Messenger.
