Texas based Occidental Petroleum Corporation (Oxy) has made the greatest reduction (as a share of initial planned spending) in their capital expenditures for 2020 out of all large oil and gas producers in the world. The coronavirus pandemic has caused Oxy to reduce their 2020 capex by 48.1 percent, down to 2.7 billion U.S. dollars from the 5.2 billion dollars that was planned at the beginning of the year.
