During the most recent fiscal year, the Department of Health and Human Services encountered a total of 7,608 cyber security incidents, 603 of which were e-mail or phishing-related attacks. Overall, the HHS was ranked first in terms of cyber attacks, ahead of the Department of State, which had 2,376 cyber attacks directed against it in the fiscal yeah 2019.
