India - preferred choice of tier 2 or 3 city to shift to from metro 2019

According to the Economic Times survey conducted across India metros in 2019, 37 percent of respondents wanted to move out to a tier 2 or 3 city with good jobs and facilities. Whereas, 11 percent of the respondents were willing to move to any 2 or 3 city. The alarming rise in pollution levels was the leading reason for moving out of metro cities in the country.
Since 2014, there are eight metros in India - Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Pune.

Note: Government of India has divided the cities across the country according to their development, population and infrastructure.
Tier 1 cities are metropolitan cities which are developed and cost of living is comparatively high.
Tier 2 cities are more developed than tier 3 cities, well connected with luxury amenities and big shopping complexes and facilities are available.
Tier 3 cities are semi urban and lacking good facilities but cost of living is cheap.
