According to a survey on the status of truck drivers, over 50 percent of the respondents across India stated that the monetary benefits make truck driving an unattractive profession in 2020. The risk of safety and security on the road was reported to be the most unattractive aspect by over 66 percent of truck drivers across the country. The long working hours and untimely work shifts restrained the drivers from spending time with family and socializing making it a rather unpleasant working condition.
