Over 50 percent of the respondents stated that their working conditions were not good due to long hours of work according to a survey on status of truck drivers in India as of February 2020. The drivers had to work long unscheduled hours in order to reach their destinations on time. The lack of standardization of wages, corruption and rude behavior of police and poor road infrastructures seemed to have led to a bad working condition for truck drivers in the country.
