The Chief Intelligence Officers of 35 U.S. states were surveyed for their opinion to which activites the innovation investments of their state were dedicated to. According to the surveyed State CIOs 31 percent of the innovation investments were allocated to the transformation of legacy systems. For the next three years the share of the innovation investments are projected to decline to 26 percent.
