The game is played by amateur and professional players alike, with the top players competing in tournaments across the world. However, despite the record-breaking number of tournaments in 2024, the cumulative prize pool for Fortnite competitions for that year stood at 12.85 million U.S. dollars, making it one of the worst years in terms of prize money for the game so far.
