According to a survey by Rakuten Insight on e-payment usage, about 40 percent of female and 43 percent of male e-payment users indicated that they made e-payment transactions several times a week. In the same survey, 81 percent of all respondents had made a transaction using e-payment methods.

The survey was conducted among 4,544 female and 3,341 male respondents. Other surveyed countries and regions included mainland China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, and Vietnam.
