According to a survey by Rakuten Insight on e-payment usage, about 43 percent of female and 42 of male e-payment users indicated that they made e-payment transactions frequently. In the same survey, 90 percent of respondents had made a transaction using e-payment methods.

The survey was conducted among 2,750 female and 2,019 male respondents. Other surveyed countries included China, Hong Kong, India, Vietnam, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia and Taiwan.
