Mexico: share of monthly booking cancellations 2020

In March 2020, almost 24 percent of bookings related to travel and tourism made through the website TravelgateX in Mexico were cancelled. Nevertheless, April 2020 registered the largest share of booking cancellations, with over 49 percent. The high cancellation rate during these three months are associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, caused by the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2).
