The monthly inbound tourism volume in Puerto Rican's lodgings declined significantly in 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. In April of that year, the Caribbean island received only 10.8 thousand inbound tourist arrivals and despite noticeable recovery in the following months, the volume of inbound tourism remained below the 2019's figures.
