The United States is the largest producer of ethanol fuel worldwide. In 2023, the North American country accounted for about 53 percent of the global ethanol fuel production. This figure equalled to 15.6 billion gallons of the fuel. Brazil was the second largest producer, making up 28 percent of the ethanol generated across the globe that year.
