According to a survey by Rakuten Insight on e-payment usage, about 49 percent of female and male e-payment users indicated that they made e-payment transactions frequently. In the same survey, 91 percent of respondents had made a transaction using e-payment methods.

The survey was conducted among 2,968 female and 4,081 male respondents. Other surveyed countries included China, Hong Kong, India, Vietnam, Korea, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore and Taiwan.
