Aftet the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, the forecasts for smartphone shipments changed significantly. Originally, the smartphone shipment was expected to decrease with 0.3 pecent in the first quarter of 2020 compared to the first quarter of 2019. In contrast, the revised forecast shows a more dramatic decrease, amounting to 14.5 percent. By the end og the year the smartphone shipment was expected to increase eight percent globally.
