As of March 9, 2020, almost a quarter of U.S. consumers reported that they expected to spend either somewhat or a lot more on fresh and organic goods in the next six months. On the other end of the spectrum, 33 percent of U.S. consumers expected to either spend somewhat less or a lot less on tobacco and smoking products .
