According to the source, 18 percent of heavy radio listeners in the United States will be listening to more radio as a result of the coronavirus outbreak, and 79 percent said that they would continue to listen to the same amount. Whilst all industries will be impacted by COVID-19, some will be less affected or even see an uptick in consumption as consumers who are self-isolating at home turn to their favorite media outlets to keep up to date with coronavirus news and to stay entertained. Whilst the sample size for this particular survey was small, the results indicate that radio listenership among those who already listen to the radio on a regular basis will either remain the same or increase during the outbreak.
