In 2022, test takers between the ages of 31 and 40 had the highest English proficiency scores in Latin America, according to a report based on the EF English Proficiency Index, with an average of 584 points. The lowest proficiency levels were found among the younger age ranges, between 18 and 20 years. On average, Latin American men got better results than women in the command of English as a foreign language.
