During the influenza season of 2022-2023, the number of cases of swine flu (influenza A H1N1) reported in Mexico amounted to 146. In the previous season, only six deadly cases of the swine flu were registered in the North American country, while for the period 2013-2014, the number of influenza A (H1N1) cases peaked at 6,905. As of December 2022, the number of influenza cases in Mexico reached around 7,148.
