Almost six out of ten Brazilian self-employed people and full-time employees surveyed in the first quarter of 2019 said that they had not received any technical support when working from home or in public spaces. Nearly one third (32 percent) of the respondents stated that they would not exchange telecommuting for a 25 percent pay rise. In Latin America altogether, approximately one fifth of those who took part in another survey said they did not know if their employers had security policies for the usage smartphones and laptop computers.
