Effect of COVID-19 on consumer spending on grocery delivery March 2020, by age

As of March 2020, 24 percent of respondents, in the 30 to 44 age bracket, stated that they expected that they would increase spending on grocery delivery services because of the coronavirus pandemic. Interestingly, only ten percent of American consumers, aged 65 and above, expected to spend more on such services, despite the fact that they fall in the category of people supposedly at a higher risk from the disease and are being advised to remain at home.
