Value of health care goods and services in Mexico 2020, by subsector

In 2020, the production value of health care goods and services in Mexico amounted to around two trillion Mexican pesos, out of which approximately 25 percent, or 511.94 billion pesos, corresponded to hospital services. Unpaid health care work amounted to close to 436 billion Mexican pesos. That same year, the country's spending on health represented 6.2 percent of its Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
