French who do not intend to vote in the 2020 local elections due to Covid-19, by area
The pandemic situation, caused by the spread of the new coronavirus, affected the intention to vote in the 2020 municipal elections in France. People indeed considered polling stations as places where there was a risk to contract Covid-19. Such an exposure dissuaded a share of the French population from going to vote. As of March 5, 2020, 36 percent of people living in the Parisian urban area did not intend to participate in the municipal elections.
