Effect of coronavirus on hotels, restaurants and cafes in the Netherlands 2020
Over half of respondents working in Dutch hotels, restaurants and cafes (horeca) saw more cancellations than normal in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. This according to a survey conducted on the effect of the COVID-19 in the industry. Furthermore, just over 40 percent said to see a lower occupancy rate, whereas 20 percent felt restlessness among personnel.
When looking at the impact of Covid-19 on the revenue of food services, it is estimated that food services will be dealing with revenue losses of 630 million euros a month in total in the Netherlands.
