Average revenue per paying user with carrier billing in Belgium 2019-2021

Carrier billing transactions divided by the number of Belgians who made such a payment more than doubled during the coronavirus quarantine in April 2020. Over the period in display, the highest value was recorded in May 2021, at an average of about 48.6 U.S. dollars.

Direct carrier billing or DCB is an alternative mobile payment method, somewhat similar but unlike B2C and P2P payments (i.e. PayPal or apps that let you send money to friends). It is mostly connected to charging mobile and digital content, and collectively refers to several payments done within a certain app.
