According to a survey carried out by IPSOS in 2020, the majority of citizens in selected European countries believe that a total quarantine of certain towns and cities due to large numbers of coronavirus (COVID-19) cases would be correct. In Russia, 78 percent of respondents believe a total quarantine would be correct, compared to 22 percent who think it would be an overreaction.
