Local products purchased in the previous 12 months in Belgium 2019, by type
As of 2019, consumers surveyed in Belgium had purchased more locally produced fruit, vegetables, eggs and potatoes in the previous 12 months than other consumer products included in this survey. Over 60 percent of survey respondents indicated that they had bought locally produced vegetables in the twelve months preceding the survey, while a further 54 percent of respondents had purchased locally produced fruit. Meanwhile, approximately 40 percent of respondents had purchased local meat products in the same period.
