Most B2B purchases in the manufacturing industry are still made offline. A survey conducted in 2020 showed that 80 percent of manufacturers purchased products by contacting a sales representative or an account manager, while digital channels like online marketplaces and webshops were preferred by 17 and 31 percent of manufacturers, respectively.
