By 2030, lithium-ion batteries will offer large revenue opportunities in China of around 185 billion U.S. dollars. The combined revenue opportunities of the United States and Europe are to amount to roughly the same as China, which is expected to dominate the lithium-ion battery cell manufacturing industry. Lithium-ion batteries are widely used in cell phones, portable disco lights, and especially electric vehicles.
