Passengers to or from Japan using Incheon Airport in South Korea March 2020

Due to the coronavirus outbreak, the number of passengers using Incheon International Airport to fly to or from Japan dropped down to 318 passengers on March 9th, including 116 departures and 202 arrivals. As both worries about the virus grow and border controls in both countries tighten, the passenger numbers drop immensely. The Japanese government recently implemented that arrivals from South Korea have to self quarantine themselves for two weeks once they arrive in Japan. In response, the South Korean government halted the 90-day visa free entry programs for Japanese and also implemented the same self-quarantine measures for arrival from Japan, deepening the on-going diplomatic row between the two countries.
