Payment methods for digital platforms in Uganda 2018
As of 2018, 79 percent of digital platforms allowed Ugandan consumers to pay with credit or debit cards. Additionally, 15 percent of platforms could receive customer payments from bank accounts. The East African country of Uganda has a population of 42.86 million people and uses the Ugandan shilling (UGX) as its currency.
