Colombia: number of women murdered in January 2017-2020
In January of 2020, 71 women were victims of homicide in Colombia. This represents an increase of more than 12 percent when compared to the same month of the previous year, when 63 women had been murdered. In total, there were 976 homicide cases in Colombia in which a woman was the victim throughout 2019.
