According to a survey conducted in Indonesia in February 2020, 77 percent of the respondents who already bought tickets for domestic travel stated that they would still stick with their original traveling plan. Indonesia's President, Joko “Jokowi” Widodo confirmed the first two confirmed cases of the disease in the country on March 2, 2020. Before the announcement, Indonesia had no confirmed cases of COVID-19, raising concerns about the country’s ability to detect the virus.
